1. Who do you plan to interview? Why?
I plan on interviewing my mentor Ryan. I want to interview Ryan because I have a lot of questions about why he did things a certain way when he shaped my previous surfboard. I want to be able to understand his thinking when he shaped my board because every part of that board has been put there for a reason.
2. You have to ask 5 questions. What additional questions do you plan to ask?
Additional questions include:
How did you get into shaping surfboards?
How long did it take for you to get comfortable with glassing your own boards? How many boards did you have to trash before you got it right?
Why do you surf?
What interests you the most about surfing? Why?
What don't you like about surfboard shaping? Why?
What don't you like about surfing? Why?
What is the difference and functions of each of the different surfboard tails?
How is a softer rail shape different from a harder rail shape?
How does the angle in which you set the fins in your surfboard effect the boards overall performance?
